As staff and some students return to Plan B in-person learning this week, our whole community will be learning how to navigate this new stage.  Let's continue to support and encourage one another.  Whether your student will remain in Plan C remote learning or shift to in-person learning a few days a week, we are all in this together!

Important Reminders for Students Returning

to In-Person Learning

1. Prior to your arrival on Monday, all parent/guardians are required to fill out an attestation form for each student returning to school.  English Parent Attestation Form: click here  Spanish Parent Attestation Form: click here  Paper copies at car-rider line and on the buses will be available for those unable to print them out at home.

2.To further support our families returning to school, Ms. Spell and Ms. Bowling have prepared a video for both parents and students to watch. This video can be found on our school website here.  The PHS Re-Entry Plan is available for parents to review for information about our return to school procedures.

3. Bus drivers contacted families regarding bus stop times/locations on Friday. Please call the school if you haven't received a call.

4. There is a new tab on the PHS website called "COVID-19 Reporting Form"  This is a Google form similar to the Bullying form.  The purpose is to allow staff, students, parents, or community members the opportunity to share concerns related to COVID-19 health and safety procedures. If a concern is made regarding our school, it will route an e-mail notification to me, the principal.  I will work with the appropriate personnel at the district office to follow up as necessary.

Staff look forward to seeing Group A students on Monday, October 19th and Group B students on Thursday, October 22 at 7:30am!

Here are some ways you can help out this week:

Send PHS Staff Members Some Love!

Our Perry Harrison staff have been working so hard to juggle remote learning and preparations for in-person learning, and words of encouragement can really give them a boost.  Send an email or a note to one of our school heroes!  Our custodians, cafeteria workers, front office staff, teachers, and assistants are all doing amazing work.  Show them your appreciation this week!

Outdoor Workday Sunday, October 19th from 1-4pm

Come join us as we spruce up the Perry Harrison School grounds in preparation for teachers and some pre-K-2 students returning to campus!

Sign up here!

Come help us pull some weeds, plant some flowers, and prepare outdoor spaces where classes might be eating lunch or having lessons.  Bring your mask and check in at the covered walkway by the main entrance.  We'll spread out for a safe afternoon of helping our school!  Please bring any gardening tools that will assist you in weeding, spreading mulch, and planting (spades, gloves, etc.).  If your children come along, please encourage  them to remain with your family while you are working.

If you want to help with these outdoor projects but are not available Oct. 18th, please contact president@phspta.org to schedule another time to help!

Teacher Scrubs Fund

Many teachers and staff would like to wear scrubs when they are back in the classroom with students, given that they will be doing increased cleaning.  Room parents collected for classroom teachers and assistants, but the PTA is collecting donations to support specials area and resource teachers in purchasing scrubs.
