PTA COMMITTEE POSITIONS
PTA THRIFT SHOP
Did you know that volunteering at the Thrift Shop is our school’s biggest money maker? In past years, we’ve brought in close to $26,000. That’s a big chunk of the PTA’s budget, yet a drop in the bucket compared to other Chatham County schools, some of which have brought in nearly $50,000. Wow! Imagine what our school could do with an extra $10,000, $20,000 or $30,000! Click here to learn more about volunteering at the PTA Thrift Shop, as well as the link to sign up for currently available two hour work sessions.
Who loves to landscape? Make a beautiful place for our kiddos to learn? This job is for you! We may partner with a local church and other groups to keep our digs looking fresh… just need a few good hands to help out! Click here to learn more. Beautification dates will be announced in Anchors Away throughout the school year; sign up's will follow.
Assist with baking and/or set-up for various PTA events and teacher appreciation celebrations throughout the school year. Click here to learn more about the team. Interested? Contact email@example.com.

VARIOUS ANNUAL EVENTS
Boosterthon (usually in September)
The PTA partners with the school to drive even more success from this Annual event (raised over $30K for technology last year!) We will need a few folks to make sure all runs smoothly.
Check back in September for volunteer sign up details!
Thrift Shop Fashion Show, Choral Concert, Art Show and Bake Sale (December)
Always a fan favorite – we earn money from the Thrift Shop buying fashion attire and sporting it on the runway to some lovely holiday tunes sung by our amazing PHS chorus led by Mr. Smith. Last year we had gourmet coffee, a $1 bake sale and amazing ART all over the school! Always looking for a team to make sure the kiddos make it down the aisle in their duds without crashing (and in the right direction…). Click here to learn more about the event and check back in December for volunteer sign ups!
Bingo and Raffle Basket Night (usually in March)
One of our best fundraisers! The PTA puts together AMAZING raffle baskets to be given away each spring! Back and better than ever, we will host BINGO night alongside the ever popular Raffle Basket Event! Click here to learn more about the event. Contact email@example.com if you are interested in helping out!
Young Author's Tea (usually in January)
Each year, PHS celebrates it's Young Authors with this fun event! Students have the opportunity to write their own books in the fall; these books are then judged by outside members of the community and our young authors are honored and awarded at the tea. Each grade has their own tea, so lots of help is needed to make the day special! Sign ups will be open after the event is scheduled in January.
Book Fairs (Fall and Spring)
PHS hosts two book fairs each year in the Media Center. It's a big job, so we need lots of volunteers to help Ms. Minor make these events a success! Check back in the fall and spring for event dates and sign ups.
